Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy explains what information SellerReceipt (sellerreceipt.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: the documents you create stay in your own browser. We never receive or store their contents.
1. Documents you create
Everything you type into our forms (business details, client names and addresses, items, amounts, notes and your logo) is processed only in your web browser. It is saved in your browser's local storage on your device so your work is still there when you come back. It is never sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for sellerreceipt.com.
PDF files are created on your device and downloaded directly to it.
2. Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how the site is used, we count anonymous events: page views, PDF downloads, prints and new documents. For each event we record only:
- the type of event and which tool was used (for example "Invoice");
- the template, paper size and currency chosen;
- whether a phone or a computer was used;
- the website you came from, if any (domain name only).
We do not use cookies for this and we do not store your IP address. To count unique visitors per day, we create a one-way code from a random value that changes every day, your IP address and your browser type. The random value is deleted the next day, so these codes cannot be linked to you or across days.
3. Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and fix errors. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days and are not used for marketing.
4. Cookies
SellerReceipt does not set cookies for visitors. (The private statistics page used by the site owner uses a login cookie, which visitors never receive.) If we show advertising (see below), our advertising partners may use cookies, and where required by law we will ask for your consent first.
5. Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising partners never receive the contents of your documents.
6. Contacting us by email
If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. We delete support emails when they are no longer needed.
7. Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the site (such as our hosting provider) or when required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its use. Because we do not store your documents or identify visitors, in most cases we hold no personal data about you. To make a request, email hello@sellerreceipt.com.
9. Children
SellerReceipt is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add new features that collect data, such as optional accounts, we will update this page before they go live and change the date above.
